Hockey is back – and that means it’s time for a new class of skaters to learn how to check.

Former Professional Hockey Player Rocco Carzo and two other former pro players/instructors will teach the skill behind body checking while also reducing the anxiety that many players feel when first entering a checking level of play. Special attention will be given to angling, pinning, puck protection, use of stick to steer/take away space, and more.

The clinic will be held over two nights:

  • August 9 – 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
  • August 10 – 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

The cost of the two-night (two-hour total) clinic is $60 per skater.

  • check made out to HIHC on August 9

***No skaters will be permitted to take the ice without payment***

The course is open to any 14U skaters new to checking.
